About LGNA

The Lake Grove Neighborhood Association (LGNA) is one of 25 neighborhood associations officially recognized by the City of Lake Oswego.

We are a city-chartered, volunteer-led advisory group that serves as a formal link between residents and City government. (Learn more LO Neighborhood Association Program.)

Our mission is simple: to make Lake Grove a thriving and livable neighborhood.

Our Advocacy Focus

  • Walkability: we advocate for safe roads, enhanced pedestrian connections and bikeable paths.
  • Community Connection: we build relationships through civic engagement, neighborhood emergency initiatives, and local events like block parties and cleanups.
  • Local Businesses: we support our diverse business community, ensuring our local shopping spots flourish as part of our neighborhood fabric.
  • Natural Stewardship: we promote the responsible care of our lush tree canopy and unique landscapes.

LGNA is not..

  • Not a Homeowners Association (HOA)! We are voluntary, free, and focus on representing the neighborhood to the City
  • Not a Community Planning Organization (CPO), though these are comparable and recognized by Clackamas County – we are a specific body recognized by the City of Lake Oswego.
  • We are not a political or religious organization, we’re focused solely on the best interests of our geographic boundary (note we may meet at our local church as they provide community space, but we’re not affiliated with any particular doctrine).
